May Update [0.0.15]


Here we go, finally! I've been hard at work the last two months improving accessibility features, information clarity, and UI in general. A lot of it has already been released in the demo but now, we finally get it in the full dev build. A lot of big underlying things were reworked so please bear with me if some things that worked might be a little broken. Please let me know if you stumble over anything!


Biggest Changes

Animon Stats

Introducing stats again! Animons now have three main stats:

  • Resilience: Increases Max HP and Max Shield
  • Dedication (one for each aspect): Increases trick bonus when paying with the corresponding aspect dice, increases catch chance of
  • Animons of the same type
  • Luck: Increases probability of all tricks that don't hit 100% and increases chance to get better tricks when leveling up

When you level up, there's now a new level-up screen. There, you can select one stat to increase each level. Hopefully, that gives you even more tools to build your Animons around your preferred strategies!


New Animons and Tricks

If you have beaten the demo, you unlock the cute dragon Tanina! Additionally, you can encounter the Curiosity-type Wajhide, and the Patience / Wisdom type Rashikan. Additionally, I have added a bunch of new tricks to play with, for all aspects. I hope you play around with them and let me know which ones you like most!


UI and Information Improvements

The UI has been optimized a bit for scaling options. It's not quite perfect yet but a lot better than before. Additionally, there's now more information when making decisions. When picking a trick, your party list will show which Animons can or cannot learn it. The shop also shows now how many of the shown items are available in your inventory (if any).


TTS-Mode tweaks

I have tweaked and fixed a few things for the Screenreader-mode. Changing your voice seemed to not have saved correctly and it should do so now (only for native TTS, NVDA was unaffected). I also added a feature on the map screen that lets you jump to the last junction during peek mode. This makes it easier to quickly peek a path, jump back, then peek another path.
